Two relatives have been arrested by police in Asokwa to aid the investigation into the alleged suicide of a 10-year boy at Atonsu S-line, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region.
Eric Gyimah and Yaw Akuoku Sarpong who are relatives of the deceased are currently assisting the police with investigation as to what accounted for the suicide to unravel the situation.
The elder brother of the deceased, Yaw Akuoku Sarpong, who came back from work to see the young boy hanging on a nylon ribbon tied to a ceiling fan is said to have reported to the police at Asokwa on Tuesday afternoon.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The untimely demise of Paul Boateng, who lived in a compound house with his 70-year grandmother has thrown the residents in the area into shock.
Police has said, they will rely on the autopsy to determine the actual cause of the suicide of Boateng.
