Former Deputy Minister of Information, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has slammed President Akufo-Addo over Cape Coast harbor “promise”.
Days ago, Nana Addo in an interview revealed that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) did not promise the people of Cape Coast a new harbour.
“We have to be clear in our minds that the NPP never committed to construct a harbour in Cape Coast but rather a landing site”, he said.
His answer is in sharp contrast to what Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia stated in 2020 while launching the NPP’s manifesto for the 2020 elections.
The Vice President in August 2020 promised that the Central regional capital – Cape Coast will for the first time see the construction of a harbour and an airport.
Reacting to this, Kwakye Ofosu in a tweet said “Former President Mahama expanded Tema Port to make it the largest in West and Central Africa. As for President Akufo-Addo, he doesn’t even remember that he promised the folks in Cape Coast a Harbour”
“What is it with the President Akuffo Addo and Port and Harbours? If he is not appointing a CEO for the non-existent keta port , then he is denying ever promising to give the people of Cape Coast a Harbour”
