Host of Power 97.9 FM‘s Inside Politics, Salifu Maase, aslo known as Mugabe Maase was on Saturday night adjudjed the best political talk show host at the just ended Foklex Media Awards at the National Theatre in Accra.
Mugabe was nominated alongside Asempa FM’s Philip Osei Bonsu (OB), Chief Jerry Forson of Adom FM, Afia Pokua of Okay FM, Bobie Ansah of Accra FM, Kwaku Owusu Adjei of Original FM, Neat FM’s Mac Jerry and Wofa Kwabena Kwakye of Oman FM.
Mugabe who is known for talking tough on air said he was grateful for the recognition by the organizers of the annual awards scheme that seeks to reward hardworking media personalities.
“I dedicate this to my boss, Julius Debrah who is celebrating his birthday today. He gave me the platform where I was seen and recognized,” Mugabe said in Akan.
He also expressed gratitude to his fans and listeners who voted for him to bag the award, saying it means a lot for him.
Mugabe has won the Radio and Television Personality (RTP) best Radio Talkshow Host award twice in a row. He first won it in 2019 and in 2020.
The firebrand presenter has pledged to work hard and champion the Ghanaian agenda that will put the government on its toes to work in the interest of Ghanaians whose taxes are used to pay those in power.
The 10th edition of the award scheme also saw Power FM News Editor, Dakkyehene Ofosu Agyeman nominated for the category of male newscaster of the year but he lost to Adom FM’s Nana Osei Ampofo Adjei.
