A new policy think tank Solidare Ghana has been outdoored to advocates policy formulation and play a key watchdog role on governance, fight against corruption, abuse of freedoms and rights.
Solidare Ghana is a Civil Society Organization formed in March this year. Its core objective besides tapping into its think tank to help shape policy formulation is to join advocacy for good governance, fight against corruption and other forms of abuses.
The think tank, which has fellows from industry, academia, and experts from major political parties has lined up series of activities for its ‘Agenda for Ghana Series’.
Speaking at its launch, Executive Director of Solidaire Ghana, Benjamin Essuman, stated their focus is to become one of Ghana’s influential think tanks through well researched and time tested knowledge based strategies and recommendations.
Essuman in his inaugural address in Accra named Professor Nii Noi Dowuona of the University of Ghana, Prof John Gatsi, Dean of UCC Business School, Political Marketer, Dr. Kobby Mensah, among other high profile men of integrity as key people assisting the just course.
Solidaire Ghana among other initiatives intends to deploy tools such as organizing lectures, policy alternatives, and recommendations, to trigger public discourse on begging national issues.
