Broadcaster Oheneba Boamah Bennie has replaced Prince Kwame Minkah as the new host of Dwaboase on Power 97.9 FM, with a pledge to lift the current affairs programme beyond its current height.
Oheneba, as he is affectionately called, was the host of Battleground on Power FM which airs between 7 and 10 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays.
He is the third host of the flagship programme since the station commenced its programmes in January 2018. Kaakyire Kwasi Appea-Apraku was the first host of Dwaboase which was later hosted by vociferous presenter Kwame Minkah.
The versatile news anchor was handed the show by Minkah on Thursday morning to the surprise of the thousands of listeners of the show.
Breaking the news to the listeners, producer of Dwaboase, Emmanuel Owusu, said the management of XYZ Broadcasting had made the new changes for Kwame Minkah to host the rebranded breakfast show on TV XYZ, beginning from Monday, August 2, 2021.
Minkah who was full of gratitude for his fans and listeners urged them to support Oheneba as he takes over the programme.
“I am ready to host the programme and lift it up as we serve our cherished listeners and Ghanaians,” Boamah Bennieh assured.
To him, he will tackle issues that resonate with the people and pursue their interests at all times.
Oheneba Boamah Bennie has experience spanning almost 2 decades, having worked with De Beat FM in the Western North Region, Accra-based Peace FM, Agoo FM and Hot FM before joining Power FM in 2018.
