Member of Parliament for the Agona East Constituency in the Central Region, Queensar Maame Pokua Sawyerr has reiterated her pledge to ensure that her constituents get access to quality health care.
The MP who is a former deputy Cemtral Regional Minister indicated this at an event to unveil a medical van to her constituents Wednesday at Agona Faahwia.
She said the van was expected to provide residents in deprived areas within the constituency access to health care.
At the event witnessed by the traditional leaders and some leading members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the MP disclosed that she had arranged for medical doctors to man the van that will be moving from one community to the other to care for the sick.
The event was attended by the NDC 2020 Running Mate, Prof Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang; the NDC National Chairman Samuel Ofosu Amppofo; and the Agona East Director of Health, Madam Dora Jones.
The health project was supported by UNICHEM Ghana Limited and Vision Allies Health Institute, which are committed to supporting rural communities to have access to health care.
In her speech, Professor Opoku Agyemang praised the MP and assured the people the NDC will do more for them when voted to power.
