Former president John Mahama has admonished Ghanaians to use the Easter festivity to reach out to people going through tough times.
In his Easter message to Ghanaians, Mr Mahama said “Let us in our own small way reach out and put a smile on the faces of those going through torrid times.”
The global economy has been hit hard following the COVID-19 pandemic that slowed down productivity and brought about job losses.
In Ghana, the government has blamed the economic crisis in the pandemic, confirming that the country is in tough times.
Mr Mahama’s appeal comes at a time most youth are battling the hardship unemployment has brought into the country.
Below is his Easter message posted in his Twitter page.
He is Risen! Best wishes to you all on the occasion of Easter, a foundational pillar of Christianity. Let us in our own small way reach out and put a smile on the faces of those going through torrid times.
