Supreme Court injunct Quayson from holding himself as Assin North MP

The Supreme Court has by a majority decision restrained the Member of Parliament for Assin North James Gyakye Quayson from performing his parliamentary duties.

The apex court in a 5-2 ruling said the application from Michael Ankomah Nimfah succeed.

The seven member panel of the Supreme said, the MP is restrained from holding himself as an MP for Assin North.

While Justice Agnes Dordzie and Nene Amegatcher desented whiles Jones Dotse, Prof. Henrietta Mensah Bonsu, Mariama Owusu, Gertrude Torkornoo, and Emmanuel Yonny Kulendi granted.
