Suspension Of Dep. Sports Minister Unfair and Unreasonable – DYMOG

In a statement released by the Dynamic Youth Movement Of Ghana (DYMOG), on the President’s suspension of the Deputy Sports Minister over the visa fraud scandal, highlights their suspicions which raises critical questions on the President’s integrity in exercising his powers.

According to the statement, the President failed to be fair, candid or reasonable in exercising his disciplinary powers in respect of the two gentlemen. The action of the President was described as highly Prejudicial since comprehensive investigations were yet to start by the CID and the move by the President could only amount pressure on the CID to vindicate the President in the final analysis. This is what they explain as constituting to an indirect interference in the outcome of the investigations.

DYMOG is calling on the President to explain to the nation why the sharp deviation from the norm of keeping appointees at post whiles investigations go on, by suspending Deputy Sports Minister and NSA Boss.
