
Yesterday, September 8 marked exactly sixteen years when pretty Ghanaian actress Suzzy Maleki Williams died in a fatal accident on the La-Teshie Nungua Highway in Accra.
The actress, who was famous for her naughty and sexy roles in movies, died at age 23 when the Mitsubishi Pajero she was travelling in with male occupant, Edwin Eastman was involved in the accident.
Edwin Eastman, who was then a member of the Liberian R&B group, Soul Black had initially told the police that Suzzy was driving the vehicle when the accident occurred but it later emerged that he was behind the wheel at the time of the accident which occurred around 1.30 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2005.
Her demise was a big blow to the movie industry as she lost her life at a time where she had gained popularity in Ghana and other African countries.
She stared in several productions including the popular Suncity television series, Tentacles, Calamity, The Comforter, Mother’s Heart and Bloody Mary.
