Tackling ‘no drug syndrome’: Sissala West MP donates to Gwollu Hospital

The MP for Sissala West Constituency in the Upper West Region, Mr. Muhammed Adams Sukparu, over the weekend made a donation to the Gwollu District Hospital to improve the health care delivery system in the area.

Donating the pharmaceuticals to the hospital, the freshman MP stated in a statement that residents in the area had been battling the shortage of drugs in recent times.

“I rounded up my weekend activities in our beloved Sissala West Constituency with a donation of Pharmaceuticals to the District Hospital at Gwollu.

Growing up in Gwollu, I’ve experienced firsthand what the unavailability of drugs in the hospital and the consequent need to travel to neighboring Burkina Faso for healthcare is like,” he stated.

It is expected that the donation will help improve the quality of healthcare being delivered to his people.

“It is an unpleasant experience and I’ll be tireless about my efforts to get our people out of it. That is why I always prioritize improving conditions in the District Hospital at Gwollu,” he added.

He concluded that “I am hopeful that my efforts will salvage the no-drug syndrome and bring respite to our people.”
