Police have fired tear gas to disperse protesters who have hit the streets of Accra over economic hardship in the country.
The protesters who joined a Arise Ghana to demonstrate Tuesday clashed with police around the Kwame Nkrumah Circle.
Police say some protesters pelted stones at officers which triggered the chaos.
Currently, the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange road has been closed, with no movement from either vehicles or persons.

Reports state there has been massive damages to some vehicles including a police van that was packed by the roadside in the process.
Earlier, there was a standoff between the police and protesters over the approved route for their march.
The organisers of the protest resolved to occupy the precincts of the Kwame Nkrumah Circle fountain over the disagreements with the Police.
The demonstrators had wanted to march towards the Ako Adjei Interchange and with a view to stopping at the Jubilee house but the police disagreed.
The armed men insisted on enforcing the orders of the court for the protestors to move through Farisco through TUC to the Independence Square.
