Former GFA Vice President Fred Pappoe has shared what caused him to lose GFA presidential elections.
Mr. Pappoe revealed he didn’t win because the board probably thought they needed a new face.
Mr. Pappoe was campaigning with FIVE Rs: Recover, Restore, Redeem, Repair, and Revive Ghana football
Nevertheless, the former Ghana FA vice president got 6 votes in the first round of voting but even though was eligible for the second round of voting, he declined and pulled out of the race.
In an exclusive interview with Nana Prempeh (The British man) on X sports profile, Mr. Pappoe stated that he couldn’t win the GFA elections because they wanted a new face on that seat.
The host asked if he lost because he wasn’t popular anymore.
“They felt maybe they wanted a new face
You were not doing well”, he replied
The host asked if he wasn’t good
“They felt they wanted a new face it could be for whatever it is I won’t accept I wasn’t good.
..Jordan won and that’s okay. “ he added.
