Today, 1st August 2021, would have been the 45th birthday of the late celebrated Ghanaian photographer, Emmanuel Bobbie, well known as Bob Pixel.
The popular photographer reportedly died on Thursday, February 25, leaving behind three children and a wife. The late Emmanuel Bobbie died after he succumbed to a short sickness.
Some reports also claimed he died of COVID-19 complications during the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana.
On 20 March 2021, he was laid in state at his residence in Ablekuma for his final funeral rites. He was buried at the Ablekuma cemetery in Accra.
Before his demise, Bobbie had established his brand Bob Pixel in Ghana’s photography arena, becoming one of the favourites of prominent personalities and celebrities as he was booked to capture photos at A-list events.
His career and works influenced the careers of emerging talents in the photography industry as he inspired many to pursue photography as a career.
Bobbie’s works cover several iconic pictures in and outside Ghana, including immortalising scenes from tourist sites and monumental edifices.
The popular photographer worked with several famous personalities, including actress Yvonne Nelson, rapper M.anifest, actor-turned-politician John Dumelo, Sulley Muntari’s wife Menaye Donkor, actress Jackie Appiah, James Gardiner, Joe Mettle, and many others.
