[Video] Ghanaian youth are angry; be careful – Oheneba warns Akufo-Addo about impending shame

Firebrand broadcaster with Power 97.9 FM, Oheneba Boamah Bennie says President Nana Akufo-Addo will be the first president in the country to exit the Jubilee House in a shameful manner.

The host of Battleground on Power FM said the unfolding collapse of Ghana’s economy which is devastating incomes and wiping away the value of wokers’ earnings is fast becoming a recipe for chaos if Akufo-Addo does not show concern.

Commenting on the calls for the removal of the Finance Minister ahead of the 2023 budget presentation, the vociferous broadcaster who describes himself as the enemy of president Akufo-Addo observed that the anger levels among Ghanaians over the hardship in the country was getting to its crescendo over the president’s reluctance to sack Ken Ofori-Atta.

“The youths are very angry and you must sack your cousin Nana Yaw Kuntunkununku (Ken Ofori-Atta),” he said while describing Akufo-Addo as a tyrant. “This is not the time to threaten Ghanaians; Ghanaians are hungry so they will make noise.”

He continued that “you will soon be disgraced so hurry up and resign to save your image.”

The acute impact on cost of living in the country has dragged hundreds of families below the poverty line as the Cedi decline at a faster rate, triggering inflation.

Experts have blamed the economy downturn on the excessive borrowing and mismanagement of the fiscal space of the country.

It is for the reason that some 98 MPs from the governing NPP have called for ken Ofori-Atta to be sacked to restore investor confidence.
