Deputy National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr Edem Agbana has said President Akufo-Addo’s rule will come to an end in December following the series of scandals that have rocked his administration.
Addressing thousands of Ghanaians who joined the NDC’s probity and accountability walk that sought to expose the fraudulent deals masterminded by some relatives of the first family, Agbana described Akufo-Addo’s tenure as an era for feeding his family members only.
“President Akufo-Addo only came to power to enrich his family,” Agbana said as he urged the youth of the country to unite and vote against the “corrupt, nepotistic” NPP government.
He stated that a vote for Akufo-Addo on election day would be akin to legalizing nepotism which could open doors for more relatives and friends of Akufo-Addo to feed on resources meant for developing the country.
To Edem Agbana, the president is an “Chief architect of corruption” and stressed he wasn’t surprised former Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu described him as a “mother serpent of corruption.”
He emphasized that the famous “gargantuan fraudulent deals” such as the PDS, the KelniGVG and Agyapa deals were all cooked by relatives of the president.
He said Ghanaians would vote for John Mahama to end the family feeding programme of the Akufo-Addo government and pave way for the equal share of the national cake.
