Ghana water company limited (GWCL), has said they are fixing the problem of irregular flow of water being experienced in some parts of Greater Accra.
The company assured that its able engineers are working to address the issue of water inflow in the affected communities.
GWCL said, the problem they encountered was as a result of the break down of its four pumps.
On Thursday, the Ghana Water Company Limited issued a statement that the breakdown of its three pipes contributed to the reduction in the volume of water produced at the treatment plant, which triggered “a drop in pressures in the distribution system, resulting in irregular flow to communities in hilly areas and no flow at the extreme ends of the distribution networks”
Areas without good water supply are as follows Kasoa ,Nyanyano, Bortianor, weija, Gbawe, Malam, Anyaa, kwashieman, Darkuman, Bubuashie, Fadama, Laterbiokorshie, Mataheko, Korle- Bu, Korle-Gorno, and Dansoman.
Other affected areas include Agege, Mamprobi, Tesano, and its environs.
According to the management of Ghana Water Company, it’s said they are “aware that most areas within the Western part of Accra are experiencing erratic flow of water and would want to assure our cherished customers that, the company’s engineers are on top of the situation”
The company has, therefore, apologised to its customers for any inconvenience it may have caused.
