Wizkid’s New York show sells out in less than 24 hours

Nigerian Afrobeats mega star Wizkid has yet again defended his status in the African Music Industry as a forerunner as tickets for his upcoming show in New York sold out less than 24hours after he posted on his Instagram story.

The Afrobeats Artiste whose ‘Made in Lagos’ album has been topping global charts over the last seven months since its release has not played a show in the United States for over one year owing to the outbreak of Covid 19 and the many restrictions that came with it.

Wizkid who won the Grammy Award for Best Video together with Beyonce and Blue Ivy for their global hit song ‘Brown Skin Girl’, is expected to headline the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn Festival scheduled to come off on 11th September, 2021.

The event tickets which went on sale at Midnight on Friday 25th June, 2021 sold out before the dusk.

An obviously elated Wizkid took to his twitter after tickets had sold out to announce ; “Thank you, NYC! More Dates Soon”.

Meanwhile, Wizkid’s Essence song which features talented Nigerian Singer Tems, off his Made In Lagos Album, has been widely accepted as the Summer Song of the year with many American Celebrities including Kevin Hart, Alicia Keys, Janel Monae, Saweetie, Snoop Dogg and many others posting videos of themselves cruising to it while on vacation.

Definitely, the Starboy is having the time of his life and we are happy for him.
