Kotey Ashie wins NDC’s Odododiodioo race

Mr Alfred Nii Kotey Ashie has secured the National Democratic Congress’ candidacy for the Odododiodioo constituency in the upcoming 2024 General Elections.

In Sunday’s internal polls election, Mr Ashie garnered 1209 votes, surpassing his contender, Mr Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea, who secured 952 votes out of the total 2161 votes.

Despite facing a delay caused by an injunction filed by disqualified parliamentary aspirant Michael Nii Yarboi Anan, over 2,100 NDC delegates from the Odododiodioo constituency in the Greater Accra Region participated in the election.

The proceedings resumed following the dismissal of the interlocutory injunction application filed by Mr. Yarboi Anan.

Expressing gratitude to the delegates after his victory, Mr. Kotey Ashie pledged to work toward uniting the party in preparation for the December polls.
