Ghana-based Nigerian artist 8T9 BadBoi has dropped a brand-new single titled Akwele, offering fans a glimpse into both his evolving sound and the journey behind his music career.
Reflecting on his path so far, BadBoi shared:
“I began my music journey in 2008, initially focusing more on production. At the time, the high cost of studio sessions made it challenging to pursue recording as an artist, so I taught myself how to produce in order to cut down on expenses and stay creative.”
He continued:
“Over the years, I honed my skills behind the scenes crafting beats and shaping sounds. But in early 2024, I made the shift to fully focus on myself as a recording artist. That’s when I started developing my voice, writing more intentionally, and stepping into the spotlight—not just as a producer, but as a performer.”
