Appiah Kusi Adomako, Esq, of CUTS International Accra has delivered a heartfelt tribute to the eight Ghanaians who perished in the Obuasi helicopter crash last Wednesday.
The crash, which occurred on August 6 in the Adansi Akrofuom District, claimed the lives of Defence Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah and Environment, Science and Technology Minister Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Samuel Aboagye, Former Parliamentary Candidate, Sergeant Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
In a statement eulogising the fallen heroes, Mr. Adomako described the fallen heroes as men who have left enduring legacies of service, sacrifice, and love for Ghana.
”They loved their nation so much that they often placed national duty above personal comfort. They carried out their work with passion and dedication. One can imagine that even in heaven, their conversations would still be about Ghana and how to make it better,” he said.
