Berekum west MP commissions modern office complex to serve constituents

The Member of Parliament for Berekum West, Hon. Dickson Kyere-Duah, has commissioned a modern Constituency Secretariat and Office Complex at Jinijini to bring parliamentary services closer to the people and strengthen engagement with constituents.

The colourful inauguration ceremony drew traditional rulers, opinion leaders, party executives, youth groups, clergy, and community members.

The facility will serve as the official office of the MP within the constituency.

In his address, Hon. Kyere-Duah said the Secretariat forms part of his broader vision to foster closer interaction between leadership and the people.

“This office is not mine, it belongs to the people of Berekum West. It is your space, your platform, and your avenue to engage with me directly as your representative in Parliament,” he emphasized.

Designed as a one-stop centre for parliamentary and developmental activities, the complex will house administrative staff, serve as a hub for documentation and community outreach, and host stakeholder meetings.

It will also coordinate social intervention initiatives, including the newly launched Berekum West Education Fund.

Traditional leaders present commended the MP for the initiative, describing it as a practical step to deepen accountability and accessibility of parliamentary work.

Other dignitaries, including civil society and religious leaders, hailed the project as a milestone in constituency service delivery and urged residents to make full use of the Secretariat to channel their developmental concerns.

The ceremony featured prayers for peace and development in Berekum West, along with musical performances.

Hon. Kyere-Duah expressed confidence that the Secretariat would not only bring Parliament closer to the people but also serve as a rallying point for unity, dialogue, and progress in the constituency.
