Black Stars to depart Accra for Chad on Tuesday

The Black Stars will leave Accra on Tuesday, September 2, for N’Djamena ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad.

Head coach Otto Addo is expected to travel with all 24 invited players for the crucial Group I clash.

Twelve players trained at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, with the remaining squad members set to join before departure.

Upon arrival in N’Djamena, the team will hold a final training session on Wednesday before Thursday’s match.

Ghana will take on Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno at 1 p.m. on September 4, 2025.

The Black Stars currently top Group I with 15 points from six matches, winning five and losing one, and remain well-placed in the race for qualification.

Otto Addo’s side will complete their campaign in October with fixtures against the Central African Republic and Comoros as they push for a fifth FIFA World Cup appearance.
