Belgian cyclist Tomas De Neve delivered an impressive performance to win the third stage of the Tour du Ghana, crossing the finish line in 1:54:07.276.
The stage was fiercely contested, culminating in a tight sprint finish with minimal gaps among the leading riders.
De Neve finished seven seconds ahead of his closest challenger, Tom Wyfve of the Netherlands, who placed second with a time of 1:54:14.622.
The battle for the final podium spot was equally intense. Belgium’s Fil D’Heygere (1:54:14.977) narrowly edged Burkina Faso’s Saturnin Yameogo (1:54:15.321) by just 0.344 seconds.
The results underscored the rapid growth of cycling in Burkina Faso, with the Burkinabè team putting on an impressive display of teamwork, pace, and sprint strength.
Three riders, Yameogo Saturnin (4th), Rawende Moucaila (6th), and Ilboudo Soumaila (7th), finished within the top seven, separated by less than a second.
The top ten reflected a blend of European and African talent. Notable among them was Bastian Dieti of Obloni Riders, who placed eighth, while Belgian cyclists occupied five of the top ten positions.

De Neve swept two additional titles, Best Intermediate Rider and Best Breakaway Rider, while Belgium secured the Overall Best Team award.
Other honours went to Bastian Dieti for Overall Best Time, Victor Cudjoe as Best Ghanaian Rider of the Stage, Gandaho M.C. Charbel as Best Young Rider, and Daniel Bitchimann as Best Oldest Competitor.
