Flag Bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama says the level disappointment and anger against the Nana Akufo Addo Bawumia government is not limited to the NDC alone.
According to him, top NPP members who are his friends have confessed to him their prayer and wish is for this them to be kicked out so that they can rescue and re-organize their their party whose image has now been battered as a result of greed, nepotism and bad governance that has run down the economy.
“the NPP of today is not the NPP that you used to know. The NPP of Akufo Addo is not the NPP of President Kuffour. The NPP of Akufo Addo is a small click who have hijacked the NPP party and they are using it to their own benefits”
He continued – “indeed there are members of their party who want them to lose. There are many NPP members who say NDC should win so they take their party back into opposition so they can go and re-organize it”
Mr Mahama further stated that time has come to hold corrupt officials accountable for the mess they have wrecked on the country in the last 8-years.
“The time has come to send them packing so we can hold them accountable for the 8-years that they have messed up this country”.
He made these remarks at a durbar of Chiefs and People of Bongo in the Upper East Region as part of his campaign tour of that region.
