NDC flagbearer, John Mahama has served notice to appointees in the Akufo Addo Bawumia administration to be ready for accountability and not to flee the country after losing the upcoming December 7 polls.
According to the former President, this underpins every democratic governance and the Akufo Addo- Bawumia Administration cannot be an exception.
The leader of the National Democratic Congress said before he left office, he told Ghanaians he is ready to subject himself to scrutiny and has since stayed in Ghana.
He added that, it is incumbent on appointees of the current administration to avail themselves.
“I stayed in this country after leaving office and availed myself for accountability. Those in government today must not leave the country after losing this election. They must stay and avail themselves for accountability” he emphasized
Speaking at rally in Ashaiman on Tuesday, August 27,2024 Mr Mahama assured the chiefs and people,the NDC will come out victorious in the upcoming election and will revisit all abandoned town roads in Ashaiman.
