The Minister of Energy and Green Transition Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor (MP) has inaugurated the board of directors for GNPC Exploration and Production Limited (Explorco).
During the inauguration, the Energy Minister emphasized the critical role Explorco plays in Ghana’s petroleum upstream sector.
Hon. Jinapor charged the newly appointed board members with the responsibility of expanding exploration activities.
“The goal is to ensure a sustainable increase in oil reserves, which will contribute significantly to the country’s revenue and energy security”, the Minister stated.
The board was urged to ensure Explorco remains competitive in the global oil and gas market.
The members of the board are;
- Dr. Aaron Issa Anafure
- Samuel Opoku Arthur (Ag. Managing Director)
- Stella Bondzie
- Mr. Kwame Ntow Amoah
- Hon. Benjamin Narteh Ayiku
