Gospel musician Frimpomaa launches powerful debut album ‘Forever King’

Ghanaian gospel sensation Frimpomaa officially launched her debut album, Forever King, at a spirit-filled event held at the Airport View Hotel on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

The album unveiling brought together media personalities, gospel music legends, bloggers, and industry stakeholders in celebration of a rising force in gospel music.

The Forever King album listening featured a showcase of standout tracks including Jehovah, Heaven’s Dew, Lord Be Praised, Story of Life, God of the Mountains, Medawase, Sing to the Lord, the titular Forever King, and the stirring Greater Anwanwa Do Medley.

Each song reflects Frimpomaa’s deep faith and powerful vocal testimony.

Having released nine singles over the last five years, Frimpomaa has steadily built a strong following as an independent gospel recording artiste, known for her lyrical depth, quality sound, and spirit-led ministry.

Prominent media personalities present included Fredyma, Londona, Nii Noi, Edem Mensah Tsotorme, Abrantepa, Taller Dee, and Obaa Soono, among others.

Leading gospel bloggers and online platforms also lent their support, driving engaging discussions and live coverage of the event.

The event drew support from celebrated gospel pioneers such as Diana Hopeson, Cindy Thompson, Abena Serwaa Ophelia, and Prophet Joseph Atarah, who praised Frimpomaa’s dedication and authenticity.

Jocelyn Darko, professionally known as Frimpomaa, is an independent Ghanaian gospel recording artiste with a growing catalogue of inspiring music.

Born in Obuasi in Ghana’s Ashanti Region, she attended Mfantsiman Girls High School, trained as a nurse at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, and later pursued further studies at Oxford Brookes University in the UK.

Gospel singer Frimpomaa, made her debut in 2021 with Greater, which was featured on GOD TV UK’s Amplified and received endorsements from respected worship leaders Noel Robinson and Lou Fellingham.

Her 2022 release Sing to the Lord climbed to the Top 3 on AStepFWD UK’s Christian Contemporary Gospel Chart.

She won New Artiste of the Year at the Western Gospel Awards 2023 for her single Onyame Ama Ne Nsa So and was nominated for UK-Based Gospel Song of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards UK 2024 (GMAUK24) for Meyi Waye.

Her music reflects everyday life through the lens of faith, echoing the message that Christ is our fortress and hope, orchestrating every detail for good.
