President John Dramani Mahama has declared three days of national mourning following the passing of former First Lady, Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
According to a statement issued by Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the period of mourning will run from Friday, October 24 to Sunday, October 26, 2025.
During this time, all national flags will fly at half-mast across public institutions, diplomatic missions, and government installations in Ghana and abroad, in honour of the late former First Lady’s memory and her distinguished service to the nation.

Mrs. Agyeman-Rawlings is remembered for her dedication to women’s empowerment, child welfare, and social development, causes she championed throughout her public life and as founder of the 31st December Women’s Movement.
“The Government extends its deepest condolences to the family, her children, and all who mourn this irreplaceable loss. May her soul rest in perfect peace,” the statement concluded.
