Gospel musician Grace Ashley has composed a special song in honour of the Ghana Police Service, in recognition of the Service’s selfless commitment to national security and public safety.
The renowned gospel singer, known for several hit songs, said the composition was inspired by the dedication, sacrifices, and compassion demonstrated by many officers of the Ghana Police Service in the discharge of their duties.
Grace Ashley acknowledged that the conduct of some personnel has, at times, raised public concerns about the integrity of the Service.
However, she stressed that there are many hardworking and principled officers whose positive contributions deserve recognition.
She made the remarks at a listening session for the song held at the USD Hotel in Accra.
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, commended the musician for acknowledging the relentless efforts of the Ghana Police Service and for using music as a medium to appreciate their service to the nation.
