The Presidency says donations to the Children’s Support Fund, established for the welfare of children who lost their parents in the August 6 military helicopter crash, have exceeded GH₵3.57 million and $20,000.
In a statement issued Friday, August 29, the Presidency said the contributions reflected donations received between August 19 and 28, 2025, from individuals, institutions, and corporate organisations.
Notable donors included Ghana Airport Company Ltd, ARB Apex Bank, STL Foundation, Olam Agric, Fidelity Bank Ghana, ADB Bank, GLICO General Insurance, and the National Insurance Commission.
The update, signed by Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and Coordinator of the Fund, said further contributions may be made via designated Stanbic Bank Ghana accounts in cedis and dollars, while cheques and bank drafts should be addressed to “Children Support Fund 6825.”
The Presidency also assured that a weekly publication of donors will be released to guarantee transparency and accountability.
