The Member of Parliament for Krachi East, Hon. Nelson Kofi Djabab, has donated ten (10) brand new laptop computers to the Municipal Health Directorate to support healthcare delivery in the municipality.
The MP made the donation during a working visit to the Directorate. He was accompanied by a high-powered delegation including the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Sarfo Nketia, executives of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency, and party faithful.
Receiving the laptops on behalf of the Directorate, the Municipal Health Director described the donation as timely.
He expressed gratitude to the MP and assured that the devices would be put to good use to enhance the Directorate’s operations.
As part of his tour, Hon. Djabab and his entourage also visited the Regional Headquarters of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
He assured the firefighters of his continuous support to strengthen their activities in the region.
On behalf of the Regional Commander, the Municipal Commander appealed to the MP and MCE to urgently release a government structure near the High Court for use as the GNFS regional command office.
Both Hon. Djabab and Hon. Nketia agreed to release the facility for the Service’s operations.
The MP and his delegation further paid courtesy calls on other key institutions, including the Ghana Police Service and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
At ECG, Hon. Djabab urged management and staff to demonstrate professionalism and adopt proactive measures to address the recurring power outages in the municipality.
He described the current energy crisis as “a menace to society” and appealed for swift interventions to restore stable power supply.
