Logistical support boost at Tema Oil Refinery

The management of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) has officially procured and handed over a fleet of vehicles to significantly enhance the refinery’s operational efficiency.

The newly commissioned fleet comprises eight (8) brand-new Mitsubishi vehicles, three (3) Toyota Coaster buses, two (2) industrial forklifts, and other essential operational vehicles to support day-to-day activities across the refinery.

This timely logistical intervention comes at a critical juncture, as the refinery has long faced severe logistical constraints.

The last time TOR benefited from such substantial operational support was in 2013.

The prolonged absence of adequate logistics previously hindered productivity and slowed overall progress.

The Board Chairman, Hon. Nayon Bilijo, officially commissioned the fleet, authorising its immediate deployment for official and operational use.

Notably, as with previous initiatives, the vehicles were procured using Internally Generated Funds (IGF) accrued within the refinery in 2025 by the new management team.

Management used the occasion to express its profound appreciation to the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, and the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Jinapor, for their steadfast support, strategic guidance, and unwavering commitment to TOR from inception to date. Their leadership and resolute agenda have been instrumental in ensuring the sustainable success and revitalisation of the refinery.

Management also extended heartfelt gratitude to the entire workforce for their resilience, dedication, and unflinching support from day one to the present.
