President John Dramani Mahama has charged Ghana’s newly commissioned envoys to make the Reset Agenda central to their work abroad, stressing that their mandate is to restore hope, rebuild trust, and rekindle prosperity.
The President gave the directive when he commissioned the second batch of eleven High Commissioners and Ambassadors at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
“Your purpose is to ensure that each handshake, each negotiation, and every agreement delivers real benefits for the people of Ghana,” President Mahama said.
“Distinguished envoys, you have been thoroughly briefed on the Reset Agenda, our national blueprint for restoring hope, rebuilding trust, and rekindling prosperity.
You are to be guided by it, report on it, and uphold it as your solemn commitment to Ghana.”
He emphasized that the Reset Agenda is not a slogan but a bold, accountability-driven programme that requires building strong partnerships in an interconnected world.
“The Reset Agenda will succeed or fail depending on the partnerships you build, the opportunities you create, and the confidence you inspire abroad about our country,” he noted.
President Mahama further urged the envoys to project Ghana as a credible and forward-looking nation.
“You must present Ghana as a land of stability, a country that keeps faith with its people and partners, and a place where investment yields not only profits but shared prosperity,” he stated.
