Mahama ends ‘Thank You’ tour, calls for unity and economic renewal

President John Dramani Mahama has brought his nationwide “Thank You” tour to an end on July 24 2025, using his final engagement in Tamale to emphasise themes of national unity, economic transformation, and peaceful coexistence as Ghana charts its post-election future.

President Mahama emphasized the need for national unity, urging Ghanaians to reject political extremism and tribalism in favor of inclusive and collaborative governance involving political parties, civil society, and traditional leaders.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to economic renewal through structural reforms, domestic resource mobilization, and the 24-Hour Economy initiative aimed at creating jobs and boosting productivity.

Mahama stressed that true transformation requires action-oriented policies grounded in innovation and inclusive growth.

He also highlighted the importance of peace and democratic stability, praising Ghana’s history of peaceful political transitions and calling on both citizens and security forces to uphold neutrality and civic responsibility to protect the country’s democratic values.
