Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang intensifies voter education in Western North

The Vice presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has intensified voter education campaign in the Western North Region, advising electorates to take keen interest in helping the vulnerable to understand to voting process to reduce spoilt ballots.

Addressing mini durbars at Bodi, Suaman and Aowin constituencies, Professor Opoku-Agyemang said all their effort in mobilizing support in the various communities will be in vain if their ballots intended to affirm the change they want are rejected.

She told the voters to take note of the NDC’s iconic symbol, the Umbrella, look for the picture of the Presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama and select the number eight spot on the ballot paper.

She described John Mahama as a “truthful and trustworthy” leader and expressed confidence in his ability to alleviate the hardships currently faced by Ghanaians under the ruling government.

At Nkwanta, in Akontombra, residents defied heavy rain to block Opoku-Agyemang’s convoy to endorse former president John Mahama.

At Suiano, the crowd erupted into cheers upon the arrival of the NDC’s vice presidential hopeful.

Throughout her engagements, Opoku-Agyemang spoke about policies aimed at empowering women and enhancing economic stability.

She discussed the NDC’s 24-hour economy proposal and the Women’s Development Bank, which aims at providing soft loans to female traders, ultimately to improve their source of livelihood and economic independence.

“The NDC is committed to lifting up our communities and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to succeed,” she said.
