The Minister for the Interior, acting on the advice of the National Security Council and by Executive Instrument, has reviewed the curfew hours for Nalerigu Township and its environs in the North East Region.
The revised curfew hours are 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., effective Monday, January 5, 2026.
The Government urges Chiefs, Elders, Opinion Leaders, Youth, and residents of the area to exercise restraint amid the current challenges and to employ non-violent means to help maintain peace in the community.
Additionally, there is a total ban on the possession of arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons within Nalerigu Township and its environs.
Persons found in violation of this ban will be arrested and prosecuted.
