SIC Insurance PLC has officially inaugurated its new Board of Directors at a brief but significant ceremony held at its Head Office, Nyemetei House, in Accra on Monday.
Hon. Bernard Ahiafor, Member of Parliament for Akatsi South Constituency and First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, chairs the newly constituted Board.
He leads a team of accomplished professionals with diverse experience in finance, insurance, public service, and corporate governance.
Other members of the Board include:
- Abena Nyarkoa Asomaning
- Daniel Amasah Kotey
- Major (Rtd.) Ben Donkor
- David Theophilus Dominic Vondee, MP for Twifo-Atii Morkwaa Constituency
- Emmanuel Kofi Ntekuni, MP for Pru West Constituency
Her Ladyship Justice Afi Agbanu Kudonor of the High Court, Accra, swore the Board members into office.
Their appointment signals a renewed mandate to restore SIC Insurance PLC’s leadership position within the insurance industry and drive sustainable growth for the company.
In his remarks, Board Chairman Hon. Ahiafor expressed gratitude for the trust placed in the team and pledged their unwavering commitment to the company’s progress:
“We are humbled by this appointment and assure His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, our shareholders, and the people of Ghana that we will work diligently to ensure growth in both market share and profitability during our tenure.”
At the same event, the Board as the Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC formally confirmed Mr. James Agyenim-Boateng.
In his address, Mr. Agyenim-Boateng noted:
“This transition marks an important step in SIC PLC’s journey to regain market leadership.
The incoming Board brings renewed vision and strong governance that will further strengthen our performance and ensure that we continue to serve the needs of our clients, shareholders, stakeholders, and the nation at large.”
