Eight Regional Football Associations (RFAs) today received Nissan Navarra pickups as part of the FIFA Forward programme, an initiative aimed at strengthening football development across the country.

The beneficiary regions included:
Brong Ahafo Regional FA,

Upper West Regional FA,

Central Regional FA,

Western Regional FA,

Eastern Regional FA,

Upper East Regional FA,

Volta Regional FA,

Ashanti Regional FA.

These vehicles, provided under FIFA’s flagship development project, are intended to support the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the RFAs.

The Greater Accra Regional FA and Northern Regional FA are also slated to receive their vehicles as part of a subsequent FIFA Forward program.

The President was joined by the Executive Council and the Acting Director-General of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA), Mr. Abraham Amaliba.

GFA President Kurt Okraku started that,

“the 8 pickups you see here today cost us $262,224…FIFA Forward money is not used to buy second-hand cars”

The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) executives, led by Chairman John Ansah, paid a courtesy call on Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt E.S.

Okraku and the GFA leadership at the GFA Headquarters in Accra on April 15, 2025.

This meeting served as an official introduction of the new GHALCA leadership to the Football Association.

Key Discussion Points:

– Strengthening Administrative Structures: GHALCA and GFA discussed ways to improve administrative systems for the benefit of Ghanaian football.

– Club Development Initiatives: The two associations explored ways to support club development initiatives across all divisions.

– Unity Among Stakeholders: Fostering unity among stakeholders in the domestic game was another key area of focus.

The meeting ended with a renewed spirit of cooperation and a firm commitment to deepening the partnership between GHALCA and the GFA for the benefit of Ghanaian football.

President Okraku congratulated the new GHALCA executives on their election and expressed confidence in their ability to steer the association effectively.

Chairman Ansah thanked the GFA President for the warm reception and reaffirmed GHALCA’s readiness to collaborate with the GFA to champion the interests of league clubs.
