Suma Traditional Council honours GoldBod CEO with historic Adinkra sword

The Suma Traditional Council has conferred one of its highest honours, the ancient Suma Adinkra Sword, on the Chief Executive Officer of GoldBod, Sammy Gyamfi Esq, in recognition of his leadership and contributions to national development.

The Paramount Chief of Suma, Odeneho Dr. Affram Brempong III, presented the centuries-old symbol of authority to Mr Gyamfi, praising what he described as the GoldBod CEO’s exemplary leadership and the growing national impact of his work at the Ghana Gold Board.

According to the chief, the Suma Adinkra Sword is reserved for individuals whose service advances the country’s progress.

The honour has been bestowed for more than 470 years and has previously gone to a select group of distinguished national leaders, including former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and John Dramani Mahama.

Mr Gyamfi, receiving the sword, expressed deep appreciation to the Suma Traditional Council and dedicated the recognition to the entire team at the Gold Board. He urged them to remain committed to integrity and excellence in serving the nation.
