The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has announced a strategic partnership with Ghanaian ride-hailing company Shaxi, owned by celebrated Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale.
The collaboration aims to create sustainable employment opportunities for young people in Ghana’s transportation industry.
The agreement was formally signed at the YEA headquarters in Accra, where YEA CEO Malik Basintale described the initiative as a bold step toward reimagining youth employment through innovative, homegrown solutions.
Shatta Wale, who doubles as CEO of Shaxi, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate with YEA, stating that the initiative is not only a business venture but also a national service.
He underscored the program’s potential to make a lasting impact by empowering young drivers and transforming lives.
This partnership forms part of YEA’s broader efforts to work with the private sector to expand job creation avenues for Ghana’s youth, particularly in high-demand sectors like transport and logistics.
