The CEO of eTranzact Ghana, Dr. John Apea, has shared insights into why the company stood out among its peers to win the prestigious Fintech Company of the Year award.
Explaining what set eTranzact apart from other nominees, Dr. Apea emphasized the company’s pioneering spirit and consistent drive to evolve and remain relevant in a rapidly changing industry.
“I can’t say exactly what makes us stand out. First, we are pioneers, we’ve been around for a long time. And because of that, we’ve had to continuously reinvent ourselves to stay relevant, provide solutions that work, and collaborate with different organizations.”
Speaking to Afia Owusu during the company’s award celebration at NsuomNam Seafood and Fish Restaurant, Dr. Apea highlighted eTranzact’s versatility and commitment to offering a broad range of services, unlike many companies that focus on a single niche.
“A lot of organizations do what we do, but we go beyond that,” he explained. “Some companies focus solely on remittances, others on education, health, or specific payment services. We offer the entire value chain. That means other fintech companies actually derive value from what we provide.”
He added that eTranzact Ghana’s holistic approach allows it to serve a wider segment of the market, making it not only a service provider but also a crucial part of the fintech ecosystem in Ghana and beyond.
