We’re in difficult times because of NPP’s mismanagement – Mahama

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has criticised the two-term reign of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), stating that Akufo-Addo led government has impoverished Ghanaians.

The former president who was addressing a mini-rally in Kyebi in the Abuakwa South Constituency of the Eastern Region, said the NPP government has led the country to significant setbacks.

According to him, the country’s current economic challenges and widespread hardships are evidence of what he described as the ruling government’s poor management of national resources.

Mahama emphasised that the NPP’s inability to effectively address these issues has led to widespread suffering among Ghanaians.

Touching on how some Ghanaians are unable to provide decent meals for their families, Mahama urged the people of Kyebi to reject the NPP and its flag bearerr, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to secure the country’s future.

He called on them to recognise the failures of the current administration and consider an alternative path for the country’s progress, as he stressed the importance of a change in government to ensure the country’s economic recovery and improved welfare for all Ghanaians.

“Ghanaians have seen the consequences of misplaced priorities and poor leadership. It’s time for a change that truly prioritizes the people,” he stated. “The NPP government’s performance over the past eight years has been one of retrogression. Life was easier under the NDC government compared to today.”
