The overlord of Dagbon Yaa-Naa Abukari II has indicated that the leadership of President John Mahama has brought ‘fresh air’ to the Ghanaian people.
According to him, the Presidency of John Mahama this far has brought a renewed sense of hope and national cohesion.
At a courtesy call on the President at the seat of government on Friday, June 13, 2025 by the Yaa Naa, he indicated amongst other things programmes and policies including the National Economic Dialogue, National Education Forum, appreciation of the local currency are key reforms that will take the country far.
In a speech read on his behalf of the Yaa-Naa Abukari II by Naa Bapir Zangbaling-Naa Dr Jacob Yakubu Mahama, Paramount Chief of Zangbalinga, the Yaa Naa indicated that what Ghanaians wanted was peace and prosperity which is evident under the leadership of John Mahama.
“I am confident that your leadership will usher in an era of unprecedented growth, peace and prosperity to our great nation ” adding that “As traditional leaders all we want is for our communities to live in peace. And your leadership has already brought a breath of fresh air to our nation and has renewed hope” he indicated
The Naa Yaa also pledged his unflinching support and that of traditional authorities in the country to the success of the John Mahama administration.
“In your quest to transform Ghana, I want to assure that you that you have my undivided and unflinching support and collaboration”he pledged
