John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on party members to lace their boots to protect ballots come December 7, 2024.
Speaking at the NDC’s campaign launch in Tamale on Saturday, July 27, 2024, Mr Mahama said the battle ahead to kick the failed NPP government out will be tough and it will take commitment and the collective effort of all to prevent anyone or group from manipulating he process.
“Everybody needs to prepare, we’re not going to sleep for 48 hours until all the ballots have been counted. None of us is going to sleep for 48 hours until all the ballots have been counted.”
The NDC 2024 flagbearer also cautioned the rank and file of the party against complacency.
“Once we launch this campaign we are not going to sit. We are going to go from market to market. We are going to go from trotro station to trotro station. We are going to go from house to house. We are going to go from shop to shop.
He added – ”Don’t wait till the campaign teams come before you come and follow our convoy. Even when we are not there you must be working.”
He noted that the party leadership is closely monitoring every process and will block any attempt to steal the people’s mandate.
“We have had our issue with the Electoral Commission, but we’re prepared to give them the benefits of the doubt,” he assured.
“And I wish to assure all Ghanaians who intend to vote for the NDC, I can promise you that we will protect every single vote.
