The 2024 running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman says those criticizing the 24-hour Economy proposal are clearly doing so out of mischief and political propaganda
For her, NPP officials to be specific clearly understand the great potential the policy proposal to help reset the economy, improve services and boost production
“They are convinced the policy will create more jobs, improve the lives of the masses but as expected members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who have plunged the economy into the mess we are experiencing are pretending. They are panicking over former President John Mahama’s 24-hour economy policy” – she explained
Speaking at a durbar in Mankessim as part of her campaign tour of the Central region, Professor Naana Opoku Agyeman assured Ghanaians that the NDC lead by John Dramani Mahama is committed and just as his track record speaks for itself, will deliver if he gets their nod.
Since the announcement of the 24 hour policy plan by the NDC, the NPP flagbearer, Alhaji Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has led a campaign of attacks and denigration of the policy questioning its feasibility and clarity.
But Prof. Naana Opoku Agyemang believes the agenda to mislead the public will fail
“As for the 24-hour economy, we have explained it very well, but somebody still claims he does not understand. It’s a lie. They are simply panicking because it will change lives, especially that of women,” John Mahama’s running mate told traders at Mankessim lorry station.
