Hohoe must be back into our food. We must work hard to take back our Constiruency from the NPP’ – that’s how the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama summarized his message to electorates when he addressed a mini durbar at Hohoe Zongo on Wednesday
‘’you voted massively for me and I won in this constituency in 2020 but unfortunately some of you were lured to vote for NPP’s candidate. I strongly believe you have learnt lessons after reflecting on your mistakes and this time you will give a resounding victory to our Parmiamentary Candidate” he explained to the cheering supporters
The NDC which painfully lost the seat to NPP’s John Peter Amewu blames the development among other things, on the last minute decision by the Electoral Commission to carve out the Santrokofi, Akpafu , Likpe and Lolobi (SALL) constituency in the 2020 elections.
Using the shepherd example in the Bible, Mr. Mahama described the Hohoe seat as the lost sheep that must be found to be reunited with the others.
“Hohoe is the one lost sheep and I have come to look for you. And I know that 7th December 2024, will be found and will come back into the family of the sheep again” he emphasized
He promised to continue the abandoned infrastructure projects and continue NDC’s development agenda and ensure prosperity for all equal.
Speaking at an engagement with Zongo Chiefs at Hohoe Adabraka, Mr. Mahama also assured that the Eastern corridor road which passes through Hohoe will be a priority in the his next administration.
