The Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President, Kofi Okyere-Darko, has commended organisers of the upcoming Festac Africa Festival 2025, describing it as a platform to reconnect with Africa’s roots.
He invited Africans in the diaspora to seize the opportunity to “come home” and be part of the celebration.
The week-long festival in Accra will showcase Africa’s cultural and economic vibrancy through music, dance, drama, and exhibitions of art and fashion.
It will also feature business forums and trade fairs to boost intra-African commerce, alongside workshops and panel discussions on tourism, culture, and innovation.
A major highlight is the diaspora marketplace, expected to serve as the largest trade hub during the celebrations.
Organisers say Festac 2025 will not only project Ghana as a hub for cultural diplomacy but also create space for economic collaboration, creative expression, and tourism growth.
