Ghanaian businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Seidu Agongo, has donated GH¢50,000 to the family of the late Sanni Jaja, a former Deputy Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The donation, presented to the late diplomat’s wife and children, is intended to support the bereaved family as they cope with the loss.
The gesture forms part of Alhaji Agongo’s continued philanthropic efforts, with a focus on supporting individuals and families in difficult circumstances.
In a separate gesture, Alhaji Agongo also donated GH¢5,000 to the National Chief Imam to support special prayers for President John Dramani Mahama and the nation.
The prayers are expected to seek divine wisdom, guidance and strength for the President in the discharge of his responsibilities, as well as blessings and spiritual support for Muslim clerics across the country.
According to Alhaji Agongo, national development requires not only sound economic policies and infrastructure but also wisdom, unity and spiritual guidance for leaders.
His latest donations highlight his emphasis on compassion, solidarity and support for vulnerable members of society.
The gesture to the bereaved family, in particular, is aimed at ensuring that the widow and children of the late Sanni Jaja receive support beyond the funeral period as they adjust to life without their husband and father.
Alhaji Seidu Agongo has over the years supported various social and community initiatives, reflecting his belief in giving back to society and contributing to the welfare of others.
The latest gestures reinforce his call for greater compassion, unity and collective responsibility in building a stronger Ghanaian society.
