Host of XZONE on TV XYZ, Afia Owusu popularly known as Coke, has earned a master’s degree in Public Relations with Marketing from the University of Media, Arts, and Communication, formerly known as the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ). She graduated as part of the first cohort to study this new course at UNIMAC (GIJ).
Afia Owusu is also a certified fact-checker, social media strategist, and producer. She obtained her first degree in Human Resource Management. During her time at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), she participated in the Miss KNUST pageant in her first year in 2013.
After completing her first degree, Afia worked with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) before transitioning to the media industry. She began by writing for the Ghana Crusader and later worked for Radio Jam in Abidjan before joining XYZ Broadcasting.
